Development of new instruments and methodologies, mainly linked to luminescence and X-ray based methods, with particular attention to portability; archaeometry: dating of archaeological finds and study of ancient materials by means of a multi-technical approach (in particular metals and lapis lazuli); diagnostics applied to cultural heritage, especially through X-ray imaging (radiography and tomography).
