Biography
Claudia Barolo is an Associate professor of analytical chemistry at the Department of Chemistry ,University of Torino, Italy.
Research Interest
The activity focuses on the synthesis and characterization of functional materials for High Tech applications: organometallic or totally organic sensitizers for Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSC); fluorescent and bioconjugated probes for the study of interaction between biomolecules; color and fluorescent probes for the functionalization of oxidative nanomaterials (sensory and optical imaging) and for the study of the surface functionalisation of carbon nanotubes (drug delivery); cationic surfactants for gene delivery and templates for nanoporous materials; synthesis of intermediates and binders in aqueous phase by palladium-catalyzed reactions in micellar environment.
