Defects and their influence on the mechanical behavior of materials, thin films, crystalline plasticity. Evolution of communication on models of cellular automata on lattices and on graphs. Homogenization for the evolution equations for cellular automata on lattices. Mathematical problems in evolution of communication and of animal and human behavior. Crystallography of viral capsids.
