Biography
"Anna Barbati is Associate Professor at the Department for Innovation in Biological, Agro-Food and Forest Systems of the University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy). She has developed her research experience in the field of forest and environmental planning, gaining a specific expertise in the following topics: application of remote sensing and geographical information systems to forest planning; spatial models for the assessment of the provision of forest wood biomass available for energy production; use of remote sensing for monitoring forest attributes, with a focus on forest productivity and structural and compositional biodiversity variables; implementation of forest types classifications to monitor sustainable forest management at European level;analytical methods for assessing levels of fragmentation of forest habitats on a spatial basis."
