History of Rome in the 14th and 15th centuries, with particular focus on Roman families, municipal institutions and traditions, political ideologies and culture, social aspects , economic and urban planning of urban life (eg markets and functional and symbolic use of public spaces), printing and book trade, chronicles and papal biographies
