Biography
BARTOLOMEO SCHIRONE is currently working as Professor at the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (DAFNE) at the University of Tuscia. SCHIRONE main areas of scientific interest concern the dynamism of Mediterranean vegetation, biology and reproductive ecology of the Taxus genus , ecology, genetics and evolution of Quercus and Pinus genera and, in the field of application, environmental monitoring and, above all, reforestation, forestry in protected areas or more generally compatible with the conservation of biodiversity, and the renaturalisation of degraded environments.As part of his scientific expertise, he has been involved in planning, consulting and seminars for various ministries, regions, provinces and municipalities, environmental and trade associations, public bodies and private individuals.
