Maurizio Sabatti is Associate Professor at the Department of Innovation in Biological, Agro-Food and Forestry (DIBAF) ,University of Tuscia.
Research Interest
Study on improvement of biomass production and wood quality for bioenergy and wood industry; Study of the biological and evolutionary processes and mechanisms of trees through the evaluation of the genetic and physiological characters of generations F 1 and F 2and natural populations of Mediterranean and hybrid poplars;Study of the tolerance mechanisms of forest trees to saline stress and heavy metals;Study of gender genetic determination in forest plants to accelerate improvement programs and biosecurity;Research on new species for the production of ligno-cellulosic biomass in marginal areas.
