Biography
ROBERTO MANCINELLI is an Associate Professor in the disciplinary science field of Agronomy and herbaceous cultivation at the Department of Agriculture and Forests, (DAFNE) of the University of Tuscia. His scientific activity is documented by over 100 publications published in national and international journals. He is also a Referee in scientific journals , including: Applied Soil Ecology, Journal of Environmental Management, Scientia Horticulturae, Scientia Agricola, African Journal of Biotechnology, Philippine Agricultural Scientist, Ecological Indicators, Soil & Tillage Research.
Research Interest
Agro-ecosystem analysis through the use of sustainability indicators at different hierarchical levels (crop, business and territorial); the design and management of biological and conventional colturali systems; soil fertility study in conventional and alternative management; agronomic strategies for environmental compatibility in weed control; the use of cover crops to improve the sustainability of crop systems in the Mediterranean environment; the study of greenhouse gas emissions and C accumulation in soil in agro-ecosystems under conventional and organic farming and in agro-industrial crop systems.
