Biography

After earning a degree in medicine, Corrado Castellucci pursued his management training in marketing and general management. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1986 in the sales force of Hammer Pharma. In 1988 he joined Lepetit (which became Hoechst Marion Russel, which subsequently merged with Aventis Pharma Italy). He held positions of increasing responsibility and became Director of Marketing, Medical and Business Operations. In 2004 he joined AstraZeneca, where he ran both the hospital and oncological business units, before becoming Director of the entire Specialty Care Division. After his role as CEO, first with Gilead Sciences Italy (from 2007) and then with the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies NerPharMa and NerpharmaDS, he became General Manager in 2010 of Adienne, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company whose primary focus area is onco-haematology with particular dedication to the treatment of rare and severe diseases. He joins Recordati in April 2013 as Vice President and Director for the Orphan Drugs Business
