Biography
David Wagner is Vice President, Corporate Strategy. In this role, he is responsible for leading the company’s strategy and consumer insights functions, including guiding activation of VF’s long-term global business strategy and sheperding VF’s strategic planning processes. Wagner and his team work closely with VF's business unit leaders and Senior Leadership Team to activate new consumer and market insights, and to ensure progress against VF’s strategic objectives. Prior to this role, Wagner served as Vice President, Strategy and Integrated Planning from 2013 to 2017. From 2010 to 2014, he was Vice President of Strategy for VF International in the company’s Lugano, Switzerland, office. In Europe, he established the strategy and insights functions for VF EMEA and supported the development of VF’s Asia strategy capability. Wagner has been with the company since 2006 in a variety of strategy positions with increasing responsiblities. Prior to joining VF, Wagner worked in private equity for Banc of America Capital Investors and as a consultant for McKinsey & Co. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Highest Distinction, and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
