Biography
MD (Italy), PhD (Hong Kong) born in Vienna (Austria) is a Cognitive Neurologist and Associate Professor of Neuropsychology at the Faculty of Psychology at Vita Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. He graduated with Summa cum Laude at the University of Brescia Medical School in 1998 and specializes in Summa Cum Laude in Neurology at the Vita Salute San Raffaele University in 2003. Prof. Abutalebi has also done both clinical and research activities in the Neurology Dept. of the University Vita Salute San Raffaele and abroad in prestigious institutes such as the Dept. of Experimental Neurology at the Charité Hospital, Humboldt Universität Berlin, Germany and the Universitaire de Gériatrie University, Montreal, Canada, and the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong. From 2004 to 2008, he was a post-doc and contracted professor at the Psychology Dept. University Vita Salute San Raffaele. From 2008 to 2014, he was Assistant Professor of Neuropsychology at the Psychology Faculty of the Health Care San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy. Clinically, Prof. Abutalebi is involved in various aspects of neurorehabilitation such as speech therapy with aphasics in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences of the San Raffaele Turro Hospital.
