Professional training Degree in Medicine & Surgery (110/110 and Praise) at the University of Genoa. Specialization in Ophthalmology (50/50 and praise) at the University of Trieste Clinical activity Technician Graduated at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the University of Trieste from February 1991 to December 1993 Medical Assistant and Medical Manager at the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Trieste from December 1993 to October 2008 Medical Manager at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the University of Udine from November 2008 to October 2009. Permanent Medical Manager at the Department of Ophthalmology at San Raffaele Hospital until May 2017 Since June 2017 he is Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Vita-Salute University of San Raffaele. Academic activity Lecturer at the University of Trieste's Ophthalmology School during the academic years 1992 to 2008 at the School of Specialization of the University of Udine in 2008-2009. Research activity Prejudicial interest in the retina with research on age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, degenerative myopia and corioretic dystrophies. He is the author of 222 publications on PubMed and Scopus and 3 books. Principal investigator and investigator of numerous international clinical trials.
