Biography

Ordinary Professor of Primary Clinical Psychology of the Department of Clinical Psychotherapy and Psychotherapy of the H San Raffaele Institute Human Resources Rector UNISR Biographical record Born in Voghera on 30 June 1951 Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1976, specialized in Psychiatry in 1980. Curriculum From 1985 to 1998 Associate Professor of Medical Psychology at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the State University of Milan. Since 1999 Ordinary Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology of the San Raffaele Health and Life University. Since 1988 he has been a principal of the Department of Clinical Psychotherapy and Psychotherapy of the San Raffaele Institute. She is the Past President of the International Society for the Study of Personality Disorders, founder and past president of the Association for Personality Disorders (AISDP) and Personality Disorders Section of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA). He is President of the SIDBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy Society) and Vice-President of NEA-BPD Italia (National Educational Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder). Areas of research It carries out research activities in the diagnosis and psychotherapy of Personality Disorders, with particular reference to the development and validation of diagnostic evaluation tools and the research on the effectiveness of evidence-based treatments in Borderline Disorder.
