Biography
Nicasio Mancini graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2000 at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Rome. In 2004 he specialized in Microbiology and Virology at Medical Address at the Polytechnic University of Marche in Ancona. Since 2004 he is a microbiologist at the San Raffaele Diagnostics and Research in Milan, and has been hired as a Professor at various Microbiology courses at the San Raffaele University of Milan at the "Vita-Salute" University. Since 2013 she is a researcher at the same University. His research activity has so far focused on the following fields of interest: (i) molecular dissection of the humoral immune response stimulated during HIV infection, HCV and influenza viruses, by cloning and characterizing monoclonal antibodies with broad spectrum neutralizing activity; (ii) development and clinical validation of new methods for the diagnosis of bacterial and fungal infections and, in particular, (iii) their application in the rapid microbiological diagnosis of sepsis.
