Biography
Francesca Pongiglione graduated in Philosophy in Genoa with a thesis titled The Perception of Ontological Evidence in Presocrats , Walter Lapini (graduated in 2004 with 110/110 and praise). In 2003 she was Erasmus student at Technische Universität Berlin. He received his PhD in Ethics at the University of Bologna in 2009, with a thesis titled The Conflict of Reason and Passions in Moral, Economic and Political Thought by Bernard Mandeville , Turkish Luigi, bringing the "Excellent" judgment. During his doctorate he was visiting scholar at Boston University and the University of Glasgow. He has been awarded post-doctoral research at the University of Bologna, and has spent periods of research at the London School of Economics , the Eni Enrico Mattei Foundation and the Carlo Alberto College . He is coordinator of units for the San Raffaele Health and Life University of a FIRB project funded by MIUR entitled "Knowledge and Cognition Structures and Dynamics", in collaboration with the Universities of Turin, Bologna, Roma Tre and Cagliari. Take part in the European project (FP-7) DYNAMIX- Decoupling growth from resource use and its environmental impacts at the Eni Enrico Mattei Foundation. She collaborates with the CIRE (Interdisciplinary Research Center on Education) at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Bologna. He is a member of CeSEP (Center for Public Ethics Studies) and CRESA (Experimental and Applied Epistemology Research Center). He also collaborates with the Expo 2015 Scientific Committee. She has been invited to attend lectures, seminars and workshops at Exeter (UK), Ghent (Belgium), Friborg (CH), The Hague (NL) and various Italian universities and has presented reports at national and international conferences. He teaches Philosophy and Human Rights (Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy); Logic of Discovery and Scientific Innovation ( Research Ethics Module ) (co-teaching, Master's Degree in Biotechnology); Philosophical Writing Laboratory (co-teaching, Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy); Philosophy of Science and Bioethics (Module on Moral Decisions ) (co-teaching, Bachelor's Degree in Psychology). He deals with individual responsibility in collective actions, environmental ethics and public decisions, human rights, and history of moral and political philosophy in modern age. It was referee for: EuroAsianPacific Joint Conference on Cognitive Science (EACP CogSci 2015); Ethical Theory and Moral Practice ; Climatic Change ; Aphex ( Analytical and Philosophical Explanation ); Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics .
