Research Interest

The area of greatest clinical interest is the digestive system surgery, where it applies new techniques and technologies for minimally invasive surgery. In particular, it deals with a minimally invasive approach, in addition to the traditional approach, oesophageal and gastric, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, colorectal diseases, both for neoplasms, and for benign or functional diseases. Has experience of pathological obesity and hence of laparoscopic bariatric surgery with predilection for "gastric by-pass". In the field of endocrine surgery, it treats the pathology of the adrenal with laparoscopic access, while that of thyroid and parathyroid with mini-cervicotomy. He has developed day-care activity: in this hospitalization procedure he performs laparoscopic access to cholecystectomy and plastic abdominal wall surgery (the only Italian center to use outpatient care for these interventions), as well as repairs to the abdominal wall with front access in local anesthesia. Particular attention is given to coloproctological pathology. He has created an Emergency / Emergency section coordinating Humanitas Emergency Surgery and Trauma. Prof. Rosati is therefore actively involved in clinical practice in the research and development of new techniques and technologies in the field of miniinvasive surgery. More than 22,000 surgical patients were treated at the Humanitas Clinical Institute, where its previous clinical practice was based during the period 1996-2014. English version
