Biography

Graduated in philosophy at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan with a thesis on moral philosophy on the notion of tolerance in John Locke, he graduated in Bioethics at the University of Milan and at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart of Rome where he obtained his PhD in Bioethics. She has been a researcher at the Fondazione Centro San Raffaele in Milan, conducting teaching activities within the Bioethics Training Course and training for nursing staff. From 1995 to 2001 he taught Ethics and Deontology at the University Degree in Nursing Science and since 2001 taught Bioethics at the Nursing Degree Course at the San Raffaele Health-and-Health University. From 1999 to 2003 he taught History of Contemporary Philosophy, Philosophy of Science and Epistemology at the Faculty of Psychology of the same University. At this Faculty he has been teaching since 2000 Bioetics, teaching since 2005 also at the Degree Course in Medical and Pharmacological Biotechnology at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, the same University. From the academic year 2004-2005 to the academic year 2014-2015 he is a researcher of Political Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the San Raffaele Vita-Salute University, where he teaches in the area of ​​political philosophy (Political Philosophy, Public Ethics , Multiculturalism). He is a member of the Scientific Committee of CESEP, Public Ethics Studies Center, at the Faculty of Philosophy; in the S. 2008/2009 was the Scientific Responsible of Research Civil Values ​​and Intercultural Coexistence in Secondary Schools of Milan, promoted by CESEP in collaboration with the City of Milan; in 2013 it is designated CESEP Coordinator with decree 3866/2013. Attendance at other institutions and universities: From 2005 to 2009 he was a member of the IES Faculty, Institute for International Education of Students, Milan; since 2005 he is a member of the faculty of the Graduate School in Social, Political and Economic Sciences PhD in Political Studies, University of Milan and the Research Group on the Prevention of Female Genital Mutilation at the ISMU Foundation, Initiatives and Studies on Multiethnicity, Regional Observatory for Integration and Multi-Ethnicity; since 2010 she is part of the faculty college of the Doctoral Program in Neuroscience of the Decision, Vita-Salute University of San Raffaele, Milan. Attendance at foreign universities: Research Assistant at J. Safra Foundation Center of Ethics, Harvard University, USA (2005/2006); Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, University of London UK (2007/2008); Jemolo Research Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford University UK (2008); Research Fellow at the Department of Comparative Cultural and Social Anthropology, European University Viadrina, Frankfurt / Oder D (2009). He collaborates with teachers from other Italian universities for teaching and research initiatives in Political Philosophy, Public Ethics and Bioethics and with foreign universities on research projects funded by the European Union. Recent projects: member of the research team of the University of Eastern Piedmont "Amedeo Avogadro" coordinated by prof. AE Galeotti, partner of the EU research project Towards a "Topography" of Tolerance and Equal Respect. A Comparative Study of Policies for the Distribution of Public Space in Culturally Different Societies, Collaborative Project financed under FP7 (Grant Agreement No. 244549), 2010/2012; under this project he presented works on "Political liberalism and toleration. Beyond Rawls "at the Center University of Copenhagen, June 2010, and at Manchester Metropolitan University, September 2010; is a member of the team coordinated by prof. Besussi Antonella, University of Milan, within PRIN 2008TR3MLZ_005, "Truth, Politics, Justice: Theories and Practices."
