Born in Brescia on 19/05/1964 - Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1989 (110/110 cum laude) - Specialization in Emergency and Emergency Surgery in 1994 (70/70 cum laude) Curriculum 1990 : 10-month training period at the Department of Surgery at the University Hospital "Hopital Arnau De Vilanova, University of Barcelona (Spain), 1991 Research Fellow, press the "Pancreatic Islet Transplantation Laboratory" at the Hospital. Research Interest
Intestinal inflammatory diseases, colon and rectum oncologic surgery and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery aimed at reducing degeneration and surgical complications. Investigator in numerous national and international trials on the minimally invasive approach to colorectal and rectum pathology. He was a member of the International Rectal Cancer Study Group with whom he co-authored in the development of algorithms and guidelines in the treatment of rectal cancer surgery issues. An active member of Onco-Team promoted by the "Italian Society of Oncology Surgery" with the aim of drawing up guidelines and promoting multicenter scientific studies related to colon and rectum neoplasm. He is the author or co-author of 68 indexed scientific publications and 11 chapters of books. He has held 69 invitations to read at the main national and international meetings and is a reviewer of major international journals in the field of rectal surgery.
