Biography

Professor of Role in the Scientific-disciplinary field M-FIL / 05 Philosophy and Theory of Languages at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Vita-Salute University of S. Raffaele of Milan, teaches "Philosophy of Language" (Bachelor Degree) and "Communication and Cognition" (Master Degree); He also taught semantics and communication at the Faculty of Psychology of the same University (Master of Science in Interaction in Cognitive Neuroscience). She is responsible for the Curriculum "Philosophy of Mind, Cognition and Language" of the PhD in Philosophy and Mind Sciences. Graduated in Philosophy at the University of Milan, he obtained the "Certificat de Spécialisation en Philosophie" at the Faculté des Lettres of the University of Genève and the PhD in Epistemology at CREA - École Polytechnique in Paris. After having specialized in the University of Eastern Piedmont and the University of Padua, he was a researcher at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Genoa (2001-2004), a researcher of Theoretical Philosophy (2004-2006) and then a professor associate of Philosophy and Theory of Languages at the Faculty of Philosophy of the San Raffaele University of Vita-Salute in Milan (2007-2015). From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Steering Committee of SIFA ( Italian Society of Analytical Philosophy ); from 2004 to 2006 of the Executive Committee and from 2013 to 2016 of the nomination committee of the SFL ( Philosophy Society of Language ). He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CRESA, Experimental and Applied Epistemology Research Center , the Management Committee of the Interfaculty Center for Gender Studies and the editing of Epistemology and Sensu Magazines , Revue de la Société de Philosophie des Sciences . Since 2014 she is a Visiting scholar at the NeTS - IUSS Center for Neurocognition and Theoretical Syntax , Pavia. He has published several essays in Italian, French and English, and volumes contextual addiction. For a pragmatic theory of meaning (Naples, Italian Scientific Editions, 2001), Pragmatica del linguaggio (Rome-Bari, Laterza, 2003 - tenth edition 2016) and cognitive Pragmatica. The mechanisms of communication (Roma-Bari, Laterza, 2009). She is co-curator of Philosophy (Milan, Vallardi, 1996), Meaning and Ontology (Milan, FrancoAngeli, 2003) and Philosophy of Communication (Rome-Bari, Laterza, 2005, third edition 2010, with Nicla Vassallo); is curator of The Semantics / Pragmatics Distinction(Stanford, CSLI, 2004). His interests relate to theoretical issues within the analytical philosophy of language, pragmatic, epistemology and philosophy of feminist language. He has been working for many international journals, including Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Dialectics, Erkenntnis, Journal of Philosophy, Journal of Pragmatics, Linguistics and Philosophy, Mind and Language, Philosophical Studies, Aesthetic Magazine, Philosophy Magazine, Intelligent Systems, Synthese and for the publishing houses Laterza and Oxford University Press.
