Minaz Abji

Biography

Minaz is an Executive Vice President of Host Hotels & Resorts. In this role Minaz is responsible for the leadership of the Global Asset Management, Feasibility & Portfolio Analysis, Business Intelligence, and Revenue Management Departments. Minaz joined Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. as Executive Vice President in August of 2003. Before coming to Host Hotels & Resorts, Minaz was President of Canadian Hotel Income Properties REIT (CHIP), a Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Prior to his tenure with CHIP, Minaz worked for Starwood Hotel and Resorts in Canada as Area Managing Director. Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. is a lodging real estate company that currently owns or holds controlling interests in 98 properties in the United States and 15 properties internationally. The company also holds non-controlling interests in a joint venture in Europe that owns 20 hotels and a joint venture in Asia that has interests in 3 hotels in Australia and India and partners with premium brands such as Marriott, Ritz Carlton, Westin, Sheraton, W, St. Regis, Le Meridien, The Luxury Collection, Hyatt, Fairmont, Hilton, Swissotel, ibis, Pullman and Novotel in over 50 major markets worldwide. Minaz also serves as a Member of Strategic Advisory Board at Intelity Solutions, LLC. Minaz is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from Harvard University and lives in Washington, DC.
