Biography
Sylvain is the former Chairman of the Executive Board of Paris Orléans, the parent company of the Rothschild Group, where he was pivotal in bringing about the merger of the banking dynasty’s French and British arms under one Paris-listed entity. Sylvain currently serves as the European Chairman of Rhône Capital, the leading New York based private equity group. Prior to joining Paris Orléans, Sylvain was a partner and head of European Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs, where he was also a member of the European Management Committee. Alongside his role at Afiniti, Sylvain also serves as also a Member of the Executive Advisory Board of General Atlantic Partners, and a member of Supervisory Board at Five Arrows Principal Investments. He is a graduate of HEC, Paris.
