Biography
Geneviève Morin is Chief Investment Officer of the labour-sponsored fund Fondaction, le Fonds de développement de la CSN pour la coopération et l’emploi. She joined Fondaction when it started up in 1996, initially as Coordinator of Administration and Finance, and then as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Development, before accepting her current position. She previously held various positions at Mouvement Desjardins, in credit, cooperative development and management training. Geneviève is one of the governors of Réseau Capital, the private equity association that brings together all stakeholders involved in the Quebec investment chain, of which she assumed the co-presidency from 2010 to 2012. She also sits on the board of directors of Canada’s Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA). She is a member of the Telus community investment committee for Montreal, as well as various boards of directors, including Filaction, Société de développement Angus and Investissement Québec. Geneviève has an MBA in Finance from HEC Montréal and a B.A. Honours in Economics from Concordia University. She is one of the co-authors of Guide d’analyse de l’entreprise d’économie sociale, released in 2004.
