Guy Laganière

Biography

 Guy Laganière is president of Groupe C. Laganière, a growing company that has just celebrated its 52nd anniversary of foundation and leadership in the environmental solutions industry in Québec. Guy has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from HÉC, and over 30 years of experience in environmental assessment and managing sustainable rehabilitation projects for sites with ground and water contamination problems. Guy has a very sharp business sense, and he leads with tact, humour and passion a team of 150 environment professionals and site specialists. His company is known for the successful environmental rehabilitation of old refineries located in Montréal-Est. Guy Laganière is involved in several business circles, in addition to being chairman of the FCCQ Entrepreneurship committee, member of the CCEM board of directors, member of the ACQ – Région métropolitaine board of directors, and member of the provincial committee of ACQ specialized entrepreneurs. He is a speaker for several organizations and during events with the goal of demystifying the environmental assessment and rehabilitation of contaminated soil in Québec, in order to understand the financial and social impacts of sound and secure environmental management of sites of all vocations. After receiving the L-G Carignan distinction from the Réseau Environnement for the sound management of infrastructures in terms of underground water and soil in Québec in 2011, and having been recipient of the CCEM Concours ESTim in the category “Service or distribution business with over $5M in sales” in 2012, the Groupe C. Laganière was a triple winner in the prestigious Les Mercuriades business awards in 2013, where it won the Mercure in the “Contribution to economic and regional development” and “Sustainable Development” categories, as well as being named “Business of the Year (SMB)”, thus securing a place among Quebec’s top companies
