Biography
Robert Branchaud was born in Charlemagne, Quebec on May 5th, 1957. He completed the first part of his studies at the Collège de l’Assomption. He began his career as a Distribution Supervisor with Esso Canada in Montreal. He accepted his first transfer to Trois-Rivières in 1982 as Supervisor for the Mauricie Region. A second promotion as Director of Operations took him to Quebec City in 1983, where he also continued his studies in administration as an undergraduate at Laval University. He founded his first company, Courrex Courrier Québec inc. in 1986, and sold it again in 1990. In 1988, he agreed to start Protectron inc., a Canadian security company, subsidiary of Vidéotron, which he managed simultaneously with SOLIC Inc., an import-export company with Sénegal, until 1994. In 1994, he founded his third company, Atak Alarms and Security Inc., which specialized in residential, commercial and industrial security. In 2000, he sold a majority interest to Microtec Enterprises Inc., becoming President and Chief Executive Officer of Microtec Securi-T Commercial Inc. He became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First National AlarmCap LP following the merging of Microtec and Securex and the foundation of First National AlarmCap LP in April 2005, until the acquisition of these Society and Enterprise by Stanley Black and Decker in September 2011 where he was appointed as General Manager Eastern Canada for Stanley Security Solutions and Microtec.
