Biography
Professor, Physics Department and Institute of Nanotechnology, Bar-Ilan University. Prof. Yuval Garini is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics and member of the Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA) in Bar Ilan University. His group focuses on the field of physical biology and their research combines the development of imaging methods for the study of sub-cellular biology and genetics with the use of advanced single molecule detection techniques to explore various biological systems. Prof. Garini has years of experience in the fields of biophysics, the applications of novel optical methods to biomedical applications and the use of physical methods for analyzing biological systems. Among his current research studies, he is studying the mechanisms for the organization of the genome in the cell nucleus, and using single-molecule methods for studying protein-DNA interaction.
