Biography
David A. Wang, MD, is a sports medicine physician specializing in the treatment of acute and overuse injuries. A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Wang completed his residency in family medicine at University of California, San Diego and his fellowship in sports medicine at UCLA. He is board certified in family medicine with a subspecialty in sports medicine. Dr. Wang is currently Assistant Team Physician at Saint Peter’s University. He is a member of the American Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Wang sees patients of all ages for a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal complaints. Whether it is an adolescent athlete trying to return to their sports team, an individual trying to return to exercise for their overall health, or those affected with chronic arthritis trying to return to daily life, Dr. Wang’s goal is to return you to your activities as quickly as possible without surgery. Some of Dr. Wang’s clinical and research interests include pediatric and adolescent overuse injuries, concussion, and viscosupplementation injections. As a former collegiate baseball player, he also has a special interest in the care of baseball players. At UCLA, Dr. Wang served as a team physician for the football, men’s water polo, men’s golf and the 2014 National Champion women’s tennis team. He also served as the team physician for Beverly Hills High School. In addition, he has served as an event physician at numerous mass participation events.
