Robert Anello

Biography

  Bob Anello brings a wealth of knowledge and successful global experience in the ophthalmology industry. He has a unique portfolio of experiences within sales, marketing, clinical & regulatory affairs, and product development areas of the ophthalmic medical device industry. Bob’s passionate and entrepreneurial approach to the ophthalmology business has fostered success in both large global companies and smaller start-up firms. He began his 25-year career in the ophthalmic surgical business with The New York Eye Surgery Center as a Clinical Research Manager and continued to further his career in positions of increasing responsibility and global leadership with IOLAB, STAAR Surgical, Intralase, and Bausch + Lomb. Most recently, he led the Americas’ Regional Business for Technolas Perfect Vision, a joint venture spinoff from Bausch + Lomb, in the position of Vice President, Commercial Operations. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where his thesis work focused on elucidating the mechanisms of cataract formation, and a Master’s degree in Physics from Stony Brook University in New York.
