Biography
Toshiyuki Yamane received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematical engineering and information physics from Tokyo University in 1995, 1997 and 2000, respectively. He joined IBM Research - Tokyo as a researcher in 2000. His major research interest includes statistics, signal processing, information theory, wireless communications. Based on the skills of these areas, he is currently working on research projects bio-inspired computing systems and computational material discovery.
