Biography

 The “Human Genome Plan” was started in 1991 as an international project to sequence all the bases of the human genome which were expected to be about 3 billions. Although it was originally thought to take more than 15 years, decoding of the entire human genome has been completed in April 2003. In such fast-progressing life science field, perspective of researchers has been moved from genomic analysis to functional analysis of proteins and peptides now in the 21st century. The mechanism of human life is, thus, to be clarified in depth. Under these circumstances, we are aiming to contribute to the health and happiness of people through our peptide, pharmaceutical, and functional food businesses with the key word of “Human Life Science”.
