Biography
Born in Osaka in 1953, graduated from Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo in 1978, Doctor of Medical Science. Assistant at Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo since 1978, study abroad at University of Heidelberg (Professor Kriz, 1984-86), associate professor at Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo since 1986, and at the present office since 1990. Head of Division of Ultrastructural Research at Juntendo University. Chairman of the exhibition executive committee for special exhibition “Human Body World” at National Science Museum in 1995, chairman of editorial committee of Japanese Association of Anatomists (JAA) in 1997-2001, chairman of terminology committee of JAA since 2004, secretary general in Japanese Confederation of Donation since 2003.
