Biography
Tran Van Do is a researcher at Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University, Japan and has previously worked at Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute of Japan and Vietnamese Academy of Forest Sciences. Dr. Do received his Ph.D. degree in forest ecology from Kyoto University with specialties on restoration ecology and carbon sequestration. His researches have been focusing on reforesting denuded lands and estimating forest carbon sequestration in both Japan and Southeast Asian countries. He published two books with one as first author. He also published more than 20 papers in international journals in the subjects of Forestry and Ecology.
Research Interest
His main research interests are Forest ecology, Carbon sequestration, Revegetation after human disturbance, Vegetation change with climate change, Peatland fire and haze.
