Biography
Prof/Dr. CYNTHEA BOGEL has received her PhD in Harvard University during the period of 1995. Currently, she is working as Professor in Kyushu University. Her research has included Buddhist visual culture (Japanese and East Asian), especially pre-modern but also contemporary, Japanese art and architectural history, and East Asian cultural exchange. She is serving as an Editor of volume on Contemporary Buddhist VIsual Cultture and Thought. She have authored several books. He/she is a member of International Munakata Research Group, Japanese Art History Association, Japanese Art History Association, Western Division, Association for Asian Studies, College Art Association, Japanese Art History Association.
