Biography
Andy graduated with a 1st class degree in Physics and a D.Phil in Laser Physics from the Clarendon Laboratory in Oxford, prior to taking a NATO fellowship at JILA, University of Colorado. In 1989 Andy moved to Manchester University where he spent 5 years researching into medical applications of Erbium, Holmium, Neodymium YAG, and Pulsed Dye Lasers. This expertise enabled him to found Lynton Lasers in 1994, and to bring the first Q-switched Nd:YAG aesthetic lasers and IPL systems to the UK market. Under Andy’s management, Lynton grew into a worldwide brand exporting to over 30 countries and employing 40 staff. In 2010 Andy resigned as Managing Director of Lynton and currently works as part-time Chairman of the Lynton Group.
