Steffen Hehner

Biography

Steffen coleads our integrated-care work in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He works exclusively with the healthcare and pharma sectors, serving healthcare payors and providers as well as pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Before joining McKinsey in 2000, Steffen was a researcher at the German Cancer Research Center, where his work focused on tumor immunology. With a PhD in pharmacology, he has published more than 20 scientific articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Steffen’s recent projects include post-merger integration, operating-model redesign, performance transformation, and corporate strategy. As both a former researcher and a former pharmacist, he brings valuable operational and technical insights to all of his projects.
