Biography
Born in 1953, Munetaka Shashiki joined Nippon Steel Corporation after graduating in Economics from the University of Tokyo in 1977. He received his MBA from Cornell University in 1987, and in the same year was assigned to the Planning and Coordination Department in Nippon Steel’s Electronics & ICT Division. After becoming head of the No. 1 Financial Solutions Division in 2001, he was made a director and head of planning and general affairs in 2005. He was appointed managing director in 2009, and representative director and president of NS Solutions in April 2012.
