Biography
I recieved my BSc and MSc in physics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. While there, I spent time researching various nanomaterials, from carbon nanotubes and graphene to molybdenum disulfide, including ways to produce them and their applications in energy storage. Here in Okinawa, I plan to continue studying various nanomaterials in the Femtosecond Spectroscopy Unit. In particular, I want to study their ultrafast and nonlinear optical properties and work to develop next-generation optoelectric devices which rely on these novel properties.
