Biography
Orestes Rivada Wheelaghan working as Adjunct Professor at OIST Orestes (Sevilla, 1985). Undergrad studies at Oviedo University (2008) and PhD (2013) at the IIQ (US-CSIC) under the supervision of Salvador Conejero focusing on C-H bond activation and functionalization using unsaturated organoplatinum complexes. Post-doc (2013-2015) at the Weizmann Institute of Science under David Milstein guidance, working on the development of new iron pincer complexes together and their application in catalysis. JSPS fellow at OIST (2015) working on ligand design to achieve activation of small molecules, and C-H funcionalization, using O 2 and transition metal complexes. When I’m not in the lab
