Biography
Beatriz Lopez-Galvis is the chief human resources Officer at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (Ortho) and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. In this role, she is responsible for leading the development and execution of the human resources and talent management strategies for the company. Since joining Ortho as vice president, worldwide human resources, in 2011, Lopez-Galvis has successfully enhanced Ortho’s global organizational capabilities and driven a culture transformation to support business imperatives with a focus on leadership, employee engagement and customers. Prior to joining Ortho, Lopez-Galvis held various positions within the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, including vice president of human resources for Janssen Latin America, director of human resources for Cordis Corporation, regional human resources manager for Latin America, and human resources manager for the Northern Region (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela) within the Medical Devices and Diagnostics sector. Prior to this, Lopez-Galvis served as recruitment and development consultant for Central America and the Caribbean at Mobil Oil Corporation, as well as other roles of increasing responsibility within the Human Resources function. She also served as a career counselor for New York University’s Higher Education Opportunity Program and social concerns educator for Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. Lopez-Galvis holds a B.A. in psychology from Hunter College of the City University of New York and an M.A. in industrial psychology and organizational psychology from New York University.
