Carol Larivee

Biography

Carol Larivee, MA, is responsible for overseeing a number of PATH’s country portfolios, including Ethiopia, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, and Senegal, and she is PATH’s thought leader for the cross-cutting technical area of social and behavior change programming. She has more than two and a half decades of technical and management expertise in social and behavior change communication, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, and malaria. Before joining PATH in 2011, Ms. Larivee directed and provided technical support to numerous HIV/AIDS, malaria, and reproductive health behavior change programs for AED, Family Health International, PATH, UNAIDS, and the World Health Organization (WHO). She served as deputy director of the global US Agency for International Development’s C-Change project and chief of party for the Ghana Sustainable Change Project. She developed innovative HIV prevention programming in India with WHO’s Global AIDS Programme. Ms. Larivee has also participated in numerous international fora on behavior change and HIV prevention programming. Ms. Larivee earned her MA in international communications from American University and has experience working in Botswana, Cambodia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guyana, India, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, The Gambia, Tunisia, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
