Biography
Josh Distler is a managing director with Magnitude Capital, LLC, a New York-based fund of hedge funds manager. Prior to joining Magnitude in 2013, Mr. Distler spent 15 years with the D. E. Shaw group, a specialized investment and technology development firm whose activities center on various aspects of the intersection between technology and finance. His responsibilities at D. E. Shaw included serving as chief operating officer for the firm’s global private investing businesses and as chief operating officer of Attenuon, LLC, a cancer drug development firm that he helped build. Mr. Distler received his J.D. from Yale Law School. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an A.B. in economics.
