Tadashi Hara

Biography

 Mr. Hara joined Shionogi Inc. in July 2010, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, Mr. Hara had finance responsibility for the budget management for Shionogi Group Companies, a role held within the Shionogi General Service Company in Japan. Mr. Hara originally joined Shionogi & Co., Ltd. in April 1995 and since that time has held roles both in Japan and the US. Mr. Hara began his career with Shionogi as a sales representative in Japan. He joined Shionogi USA Inc. in April 2006, as Corporate Secretary and Director of Accounting and Finance, where he was responsible for all aspects of Finance, Accounting and Tax for the company. 

Research Interest

 During his time with Shionogi USA Inc. he also played a key role to liaise between Japan and the US from the standpoint of not only finance and accounting but also administrative functions. Mr. Hara also served Shionogi USA Inc. as a Director of the Board since July 2009. Mr. Hara also had responsibility as Treasurer and Secretary of Ezose Sciences Inc., one of our group companies which is engaged in a high-throughput glycomics technology in NJ. Mr. Hara holds a B.A. in Literature (Psychology) from Waseda University in Japan.
