Biography
Dr Zhengming (Jimmy) Chen is a senior director of the Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shionogi Inc, where he is responsible for the manufacturing of Shionogi’s US commercial products and for the CMC development of new chemical entity drug products in US. With over 20 years of US industrial experience, he has co-authored 24 research & review publications, 1 book chapter and is a co-inventor of 27 issued US patents. Dr Chen received his PhD from the University of New Orleans in Chemistry. Prior to joining Shionogi Inc, Dr Chen has held various leadership positions at Purdue Pharma, DOV Pharma, Aton Pharma, Valeant Pharma. His research interests include: formulation design for bioavailability enhancement, abuse deterrent formulations, 505(b)(2) drug development, and drug product life cycle management.
