Shinichi Tamura

Biography

Shinichi founded Sosei in June 1990 as a technology transfer company, having built up a wealth of experience during his years in the industry. He graduated from Tokyo University with an M.S. in Biochemistry and a major in Cultural Anthropology, going on to work in various positions in Planning and Development at Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. Shinichi was later appointed Representative Director (CEO) of Genentech Limited (Genentech Inc's Japan subsidiary). He has advised various companies including Genentech, GenPharm, Geron, IDEC, Pharmacyclics, and Vernalis, and played an important role in completing several significant deals.
