Biography
I have over 28 years of experience working with adenoviral vectors and I am one of the leaders in designing human and nonhuman adenoviral vectors for recombinant vaccines and gene therapy. I have acquired considerable expertise in the area of broadly protective influenza pandemic vaccines for protection against highly pathogenic H5N1, H7N7, H7N9 and H9N2 avian influenza viruses as well as the 2009 H1N1 and other seasonal influenza viruses. I have extensive experience with stable cell lines, animal models, innate and adaptive immunity, TLR activation, antigen-presenting cell (APC) stimulation, and circumvention of adenoviral vector immunity, and immunotherapy for cancer. I have acquired excellent expertise in the area of adenoviral vector-based gene therapy for breast cancer in the mouse model.
