Biography
Shigeru Hirabayashi is an Orthopedic Surgeon. He completed his graduation from the University of Tokyo in 1978. Since 2007, he is a Professor of Department of Orthopedic Surgery of Teikyo University Hospital and a Dean of Faculty of Medical Sciences of Teikyo University of Science. His special field is compressed myelopathy due to degenerative spinal diseases such as cervical myelopathy (spondylotic, OPLL: Ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament) and thoracic myelopathy (OPLL, OLF: Ossification of the ligamentum flavum).
