Biography
Dr. Swapan K. Ghosh is a Foreign Postdoctoral Researcher (FPR) in the Supramolecular Science Laboratory at RIKEN, Wako, Japan. Before joining RIKEN, Dr. Ghosh was a research scientist at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). He earned his Ph.D. in Soft Condensed Matter Physics in 1997 from Hiroshima University. He received his M. Sc. in Physics (1992) from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. Dr. Ghosh received many awards including Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho), JSPS Post-doctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers, and Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan (BCSJ) award. Dr. Ghosh has published about 25 peer-reviewed papers, a book chapter and presented his works in more than 20 international conferences. Dr. Ghosh is a member of American Chemical Society, The Society of Polymer Science, Japan and the Physical Society of Japan. He has served as a reviewer of several journals including The Journal of Physical Chemistry.
Research Interest
His main research interests are Transport phenomena and surface forces in extreme environment, intelligent soft matter, organic-inorganic memory devices.
