Biography
Dr. Setsuya Nakada is currently employed as professor at Earthquake Research Institute, the University of Tokyo. He was the science leader of the Unzen Scientific Drilling Project of International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP) during 1999-2004. He was also the past president of International Association of Volcanology and chemistry of the Earth’s Interior (IAVCEI) (2007-2011).
Research Interest
His main research interests include Geology, rock science of volcanoes and forecasting volcanic eruptions and disasters of volcanoes in Japan, Northern Marianas, Indonesia and so on.
