Tarek El-sadany

Biography

 Tarek El-Sadany was elected a senior vice president by the Board of Directors in June 2015. He is responsible for driving Unisys' technology business, utilizing his broad experience in product development, services, government and entrepreneurship. Tarek leads a global technology delivery organization with deep expertise in designing and developing powerful, secure and reliable products that address an organization's most pressing IT and business challenges through fast-evolving technologies and delivery models – from cloud and mobility to big-data analytics and high-end servers. As chief technology officer, Tarek ensures that Unisys delivers the most innovative products and software-led services offerings, using both Unisys proprietary technologies and third-party software solutions. Tarek was most recently chief operating officer of Remedy Informatics; a market leader in technology innovation in healthcare and life sciences. Before Remedy, Tarek served a three-year global appointment in Egypt, where he was the chairman and CEO of Egypt National Post and CEO of the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Egypt. Tarek was previously vice president of Global Product Support for Oracle Corporation, managing a $5 billion business with more than 4,500 employees in 60 countries worldwide. Earlier, he held founding and senior leadership positions at software companies Datacme Corporation and TenFold Corporation after prior work at IBM's global research centers. Tarek has served on the boards of directors and advisors of several high-tech companies and non-profit organizations. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, panels, conferences and colloquia. Tarek holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Louisville and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
