Moriwake, Noriko

Biography

Noriko Moriwake joined UNU-IAS as Coordinator, working for the project “International Satoyama Initiative (ISI)”. Before joining UNU-IAS, Ms. Moriwake worked at the Ministry of the Environment of Japan and primarily engaged in the field of international cooperation related to biodiversity including the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. Ms. Moriwake also worked at the CBD Secretariat as Associate Programme Officer and contributed to the preparatory work for the Tenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the CBD (CBD COP10), held in Nagoya in 2010. Ms. Moriwake holds a Master of Agriculture from the University of Tokyo.
