Biography
Hirokazu Uemura has done his MD from Tokushima University in 1997. Currently he is working as Associate Professor in Faculty of Medicine in Tokushima University. His research interests are Epidemiology, Public Health, Environmental Health, Exercise Physiology, Menopause. Several papers of his work were published in reputed international journals. He is the member ofJapan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Japanese Society of Public Health, The Japanese Breast Cancer Society, Japan Association of Breast Cancer Screening, Shikoku Public Health Society, Japan Women's Medical Science Association, Japan Physical Fitness Medical Society, The Japan Society of Hygiene.
Research Interest
His research interests are Epidemiology, Public Health, Environmental Health, Exercise Physiology, Menopause. He is engaged in the Japan Multi-Center Cohort Study (J-MICC Study), a molecular epidemiology cohort study on cancer and lifestyle diseases, studied the relationship between lifestyle diseases and lifestyle factors and genetic factors and their alternation There. They are also studying the health effects of persistent organic pollutants (environmental epidemiology) and postmenopausal osteoporosis and lipid metabolism. In addition, I do prevention of falls and collaborative research (statistical analysis) with the nursing field.
